Three Tickets…….
This is sort of a finish up to Randalf the Grey’s post on BEST LIVE PERFORMANCES ………. Check out these ticket stubs:
The ELP one is mentioned by Jek and Huskysooner in comments #6 and #7…….
The Stones one is mentioned by Sunn in comment #5…….
The other one is from 1973, and let me tell you that “Zadda” guy sure looked and sounded like our “Frank Zappa”……. I guess the printers and The Civic Center personnel didn’t have a clue who he was…… Zappa and ELP didn’t have opening acts, but The Stones did…… Anyone out there (besides me) remember who it was?…… And, for bonus points, what was the last song played?……

That’s easy. Little Stevie Wonder. Superstition, I believe.

GREAT GOOGLIE-MOOGLIE, MR, that Frank Zadda concert is still another one that we both attended
before we knew each other.
I also saw E.L.P. in Tulsa, but the one I saw was about 15 years earlier. When they did the
“Works” tour, we were so impressed with the OKC show, that the Rowells, the Rudys and I travelled
up the turnpike to catch it again.

Also attended the “Zadda” concert. Seems like the prices triple about every 20 years.
Imagine, the Stones for $5.50! You don’t miss your water, till your well runs dry.

Yes, Sunn is correct, The Stones concert was opened by Stevie Wonder…. I think he had dropped the “Little” off his name by ’72….. Although…., Sunn answered the question correctly, I heard from a friend of a friend of a third party operative that Sunn must have had “insider info” – even though it is a fact that he did attend the concert, he stated that he didn’t actually remember much other than being there….. So-o-o, the $100,00.00 secret prize money will remain unclaimed and offered (secretly) on some other random blog question down the line……
DOG-DOO SNOW CONE, So that WAS you, RTG, that kept blocking my view of Frankie and his Mothers, and, as you know,” You Can’t Do That On Stage Anymore”…….

MR, I’m afraid you’ve forced me to consider legal action. For what, you say?
Slander……..Insider info (I’m no Martha Stewart). According to a third party saying that I didn’t actually remember much, what exactly are you implying, Mr? (I’m also not like GW). So………..either fork over the $100,000 as agreed or pay the piper. I nailed the question fair & square.

I want you to know I am highly jealous, You guys got to see all the greatest concerts back then!

Sunn, I have to admit you did answer the question correctly….. I guess I was a little peeved that someone got it that fast….. And, about that legal action, do you think if I had a spare $100,000 I’d be writing my own posts and replies to the blog?…. I’d have some nice 24-year-old in a mini-skirt takin’ dictation, if ya know what I mean…. Your lawsuit would result in the following items: one Timex digital watch, broken – one unused prophylactic – one soiled – boots, black – belt, black – one black suit jacket – one pair black suit pants – one hat, black – one pair of sunglasses – $23.07…. sign here (just call me Jake Blues)…..
