Hey, I worked hard for those negative points and I think I should get credit for them!…. So cough-up and apply them to my total….. I thought RTG answered one of your quizzes?…… Where’s his points or was that before you started the points system?….. I know you sent him a prize…..
June 5th, 2006 at 6:20 pm
MR, Hang on. It will take a while to count up all your negative points. I’m working on it.
Actually , RTG got a prize for most points after I stopped the quiz and before I restarted it again. He got lucky. So, now we are playing to ,say, 100 points? I haven’t DECIDED!

Come on, there’s still five points to be had. Which character said “we don’t need no stinken badges”?
June 8th, 2006 at 10:39 am
I’m thinkin’ here….. While I’m thinkin’, here’s a quiz for the master quizzer: Who made the following statement? I’ll make it easy and not edit it in any way…..
“More to the point, man is still the best computer that we can put aboard a spacecraft — and the only one that can be mass produced with unskilled labor.”
Anon gets first shot….. No pressure, Mr. Quizzer….

I know I heard the first part of this quote from someone who was justifying manned space flight, but I cant remember who. Looking at the second part of the quote, it looks like the person was making a joke or was he. Maybe he was just verbally challenged. I’m going to say Bush. I know you are going to give minus 10 points if I’m wrong.
June 9th, 2006 at 7:03 am
I should give you a minus 10 points for thinking that Bush could make an truly intelligent statement such as that…. I’m just trying to get you to negate the minus points you awarded me in the past (just a little blackmail)…. It was not a joke and if you think about it, it’s true…. Hint: The time frame was very early ’60’s, shortly after Kennedy made his speech about going to the moon and back by the end of the decade…. You gave yourself a hint with your “verbally challenged” reference…. What would that indicate?….. And, let me say that I didn’t pick some obscure person just to hoodwink you, everyone in our age group knows the person, and any of the younger generations would too if they paid any attention in history class, if they still teach history in school anymore…..

Verner Von Brown…….still had a heavy German accent.
June 9th, 2006 at 1:06 pm
You’re right!…. Did I give too many hints?…. I guess I won’t take off for spelling…. It’s Wernher von Braun…. Can we call it even on my negative points?… Huh?…Huh?… Can we?…. I still think it’s a cool statement, especially from an ex-Nazi rocket scientist…..

I’ll split the deference with you. I’ll take 5 points and you take my negative 5 points.
Was a wild guess really. Hint connected with the era did help.
Somebody just recently used the first part of that quote. Thats why I thought it must have been bush.
Would I have got points for Dr.Strange Love.
June 10th, 2006 at 11:52 am
Yeah, I would have given Dr. Strangelove points, but since he isn’t registered on the blog, he’s not eligible… (Ha-He)…..

A big 5 points for J.J. I knew someone would get it. think I’ll give you a couple of extra points for the completeness of answer and added trivia. This will not take away from Huskysooner’s 5 points.
