Apple versus Apple
Weren’t we discussing here sometime back the legalcrappola between Apple Computer and Apple Records? Well, yet another confluence of the two just today, this time related to the announcement of Apple’s new mobile phone/device/thingy: ‘Jobs demonstrated the phone’s music capabilities by playing “Lovely Rita, Meter Maid”, from the Beatles’ “Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band”.’

I went to the link you listed, and the video report I saw demonstrated the phone playing “With a Little Help from my Friends” while displaying the “Sgt. Peppers” album cover….. That’s weird, because it was “The Beatle’s” version….. They had to get permission to use it from “Apple Corp”….. Are they trying to make a point that they beat “The Beatles” or what?….. I still can’t get “Beatles” album art on my iTunes….. I see that they renamed the company to “Apple, Inc.”….. I guess it’s a “who’s got the most toys thing”…….

I saw on the news that they also stole the name “iPhone” from Sysco….. Are they pushing the limits or what?……
