ledger lines.

The lines above and below the staff contain the notes that are out of my vocal range….. Needless to say, I am not a singer….. That ought to be worth a few negative points……

That’s a plus 5 points for HuskySooner who jumped on it first and negative 5 points for MRambler cause he cant sing….please.

HOLD ON THERE ! I seem to remember MRambler doing a pretty nice job of singing The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”. Of course, that was over thirty years ago, so he might have lost a little range, but to say that he can’t sing…please.

So-o-o, I guess I was doing a “pretty nice job” of “Fooling” you, RtG….. That song just seemed to be in my range – right in the middle of the staff….. Give me something to sing by “Traffic”, “Yes”, “Rush”, etc. and you “Won’t Get Fooled Again”!….. Blues and “Weird” I can handle (Ha-Ha)……

I stand corrected. I’m rescinding the minus 5 points awarded to MRambler.

Sorry I cost you a minus 5 MR, but you are too modest and my memory is not that bad. Steve Winwood, Jon Anderson and Geddy Lee are freakish castratos ( I mean that in the best possible way )
who sing a couple of octaves above the staff. No normal male-type individual can sing that stuff in the original key.

So MR, the next time you are up this way I’ll want to hear you sing between the ledgers.

MR, All of those are good choices except for Traffic I believe listening to the tapes/DVD that Randalf is the resident Traffic/ Steve Winwood Vocal expert, although I would love to hear that Who classic. RtG Any evidence anywhere of that performance that he’s not shared with me over the years?

If there is any recorded evidence, MR has it–he is the keeper of the sacred Terraplane archives.
