DID YOU KNOW? I didn't think so……..Giberish

Geber, the Arabian, was the greatest alchemist of the 11th century, wrote many treatises on the

“art of making gold” in the usual mystical jargon cause he would have been killed if found out by the

church… hence “Giberish”.

This is an example:
“Sed tamen salis-petrae
LURU MONE CAP URBE
Et sulphuris.”

This should be easy to recognize. The second line is an anagram.

  1. Are you sure that isn’t “Gerber” and he made baby food on the side?….. That would be Alchemy, wouldn’t it?….. I’m sure those would be “secret” formulas to be protected by “Gerberish”…… I need one of those little baby-face icons to stick here on the end 🙂

  2. What’s goin’ on?….. I put a semi-colon : and then a dash – and then a close parentheses ) at the end of the last sentence of the above comment and it magically turned into that little stinkin’, smilin’ yellow face….. Jek, did you program this blog to do that?……

  3. Seems you don’t smile much. The blog has been converting those since the beginning, though you can turn that off. My big complaint about that is the tongue-sticking-out icon, which is a colon followed by a capital P. It doesn’t have a tongue at all! Here it is for your consideration 😛

  4. Nope, don’t turn it off, I just found out about them….. They’re cool when used in moderation…… I guess you do learn something new every day – if you pay attention……

  5. And you have been running this for how long?

  6. You should know how it works, J……. I take all the credit and leave all the real work to Head Worker Bee Jek……

  7. It’s good to be the King.
