It’s Fair Time…..SO WHAT
Maybe I’m becoming an old curmudgeon but I am already tired of hearing about the fair. I don’t care about any of the rides, all the exhibits in the buildings are about selling overpriced trinkets. The concerts are only places for the PWT kids to gather and try to buy beer and show off, Seems like none goes to hear the music. The midway isn’t fun anymore(In my opinion), now I know a lot of us used to go and have fun but it seems that all you hear about the OK st fair anymore is what fight broke out, who got stabbed, etc. And the food, $3.00 for a corn dog give me a break.I think I’ll just go to the zoo.

You think that’s bad, J.J.?….. We have a construction project going on right in the middle of the mess you call The State Fair on the Arena area…… The General (Contractor) on the job got way behind due to all the rain we had in July, so now, they want everything done yesterday because it’s costing them $4,000 a day in fines….. Their completion date was 07SEP2007….. On the upside, the scenery is nice, although, somewhat distracting, which doesn’t help contract progress…… I’d go to the Zoo, J….. …Just stay away from the cages……

$3 corn dogs? Where’s the Miller High Life vendor. He needs to pay a visit to the State Fair.

MR; I thought that job ABSOLUTELY had to be done before This Thursday? I do remember you telling me about it, I just didn’t remember the details.
Sunn: I haven’t been in at least 5 yrs. is that too high/low? I remember the last time I set foot in the place giving $10.00 for 2 and a large Bud.

Go to the Zoo J. If you go on the right day it’s free. But the bird food is $3.00 a hand full to feed the ducks and fish. Not bad if you have ever watched a 5 lb. duck fight a 20 lb. catfish for a nugget you know what I mean.

Noe that sounds more entertaining than the fair!

J.J. you’re probably right about the price going up. Seems like they never go down, for some reason.
That is one reason I hardly go to any public events anymore. I just enjoy them in the comfort of my own home (or someone else) where the beer is $6 a 12 pack (Keystone Light). Big screen TVs also enhance the experience. You don’t have to put up with rude people (except some of your friends) & you can actually watch a concert on the big screen without having girls behind you giggling & chatting the whole time.

Apparently, Sunn, you have never watched a concert on TV with the J-man…… He talks, he sings along, he hums, he does air drums…… Did I mention dancing and facial expressions?….. It is really entertaining and the price is right…..

Sunn: I couldn’t have said it better my self and agree completely. And to expand a little the same goes for me with regard to movies as well.

MR, what J.J. does is cool with me. At least he’s paying attention & is actually interested in the music.
