  1. That looks about right, Sunn, although it probably didn’t happen exactly like that….. I don’t know much on album title origins, but, I know the U.S. censors were busy, busy in the ’60’s and ’70’s with song titles and album art, in particular Jimi’s Electric Ladyland with the 18 or so nudes on the cover, Blind Faith’s debut album with the very young nude on the cover, and, the biggest one was The Beatles’ Yesterday and Today album with the Beatles in butcher smocks with cut-up dolls and raw meat…. They were protesting Capitol records practice of holding back tracks off of The Beatles earlier albums and then releasing the held tracks as a new album….. The Stones song Star****er had to be released as Star, Star…. It went on and on….. Today, I think you can release just about anything and get away with it…… They just stick a warning label on it and that makes it OK…..

  2. Yeah, sometimes I wish we hadn’t tried quite so hard to “change the world”. Some of it seems some of the changes we were for blew up in our faces.
    It seems extraordinary
today to imagine the hullabaloo that went on over “Louie, Louie” & “The Pusher”.

  3. Yeah, and don’t forget the mass Beatle record burnings in the Southern U.S. due to John saying “We (The Beatles) are more popular than Jesus Christ” that he made in an interview which was totally taken out of context and distorted by the media…. It’s a crazy world we live in……

  4. Ah, yes…. the Deep South. Some things never change & never will (The South, The Middle East, etc.) As I stated, I sometimes think we shot ourselves in the foot.

  5. I wondered why I had a slight limp…… Oh, yeah, one more Beatle (John actually) song that was banned by the BBC for the line: “Christ you know it ain’t easy, you know how hard it can be, the way things are going, they’re going to crucify me”….. That’s from “The Ballad of John and Yoko”….. Those Limeys probably sing it in church these days….. I think John did all the instruments on the track as well as writing it, although, it’s credited to Lennon and McCartney……

  6. I believe you are correct. All original Beatle song were listed as Lennon/McCartney compositions, exept the ones by George. By George!
