“Inmates are BORED”….
If we had a newsletter, that would be the headlines….. Â I guess I’ll have to Post something and stir things up again (hopefully)….. Â Question: Â I know the Presidential election is coming up fast – should we discuss politics or leave them alone?….. Â Let’s hear your opinions, Inmates….. Â I’m sure our opinions are varied and some even far out in the Outfield (could be Left or Right)….. Â I know mine are, but, if nothing else, it should get the Blog to humming again…..
On the other hand, I’ve been doing a lot of research on Music….. Â I have a lot of cool stuff (I think, anyway) to pass on to the Community if you Inmates are interested…… Â Of course, these could be Posted after the election…..
Give me some input – At your convenience – Shall it be Politics, Music, or Something Completely Different?….. Â It’s good to be back……

I recommend that we mix the two. After all some of my favorite songs are about politics. The fool on the hill, the unknown soldier just too name two and maybe get things started. Most of us think that if the wrong person becomes president it will be “The End”.

Nice segway Robo. I agree some of our favorite and best songs are political in nature. One may remember some months back I tried to get the prez race discussion started. Still this time I don’t see a clear choice. So MR. Please start stiring!

There has probably been a song written that covers almost any political situation….. Usually, they are gripes and complaints set to music….. I don’t know of too many politically based songs that compliment or support politicians…… Right now we are faced with picking the lesser of two complete negatives….. There should be a place on the ballot stating: “I hereby demand the Demo-Rats and the Republi-Can’ts furnish the voters of the United States with two new, truthful candidates for the office of the President.”……

I sorry MR but it is grammatically incorrect to use the words truthful and candidates in the same election. Maybe there are so few supportive songs because there are so few supportable politicians. Just remember he who throws the most dirt, loses the most ground.

Well, here’s a minor contribution. I’m a big PT/Steven Wilson fan and have been listening to this quite a bit:

That’s some GREAT stuff, HS….. A super combination of Pink Floyd, ELP, King Crimson, and Yes….. Mexico City seems like an unusual venue for this type of music…… I think I’ll check to see if the DVD/CD they talk about has been released yet….. C-O-O-L Stuff!……
