Screw Facebook…….
I recently purchased an Epiphone Les Paul 100, basically a lightweight body with all the Les Paul electronics…. It plays as good, if not better, than the outrageously priced Gibson models… I signed up for the Epiphone newsletters…. In the most current one, which is their 140 anniversary issue, they are giving away a one-of-a-kind Epiphone guitar and a signed copy of the Epiphone history book….. Here’s the rub…. You HAVE to be on Facebook, or sign-up on Facebook to enter…. I’m sorry, I don’t care for social media, I have a social life with lots of friends, and I don’t care to get involved with a bunch of I-Me-Mine Yo-Yo’s that think the World should know how great they are….. If you click to NOT share on Facebook – you don’t get entered…. Keep your damn guitar, Epiphone!…. It’s a shame that you do make such a great product, but, forcing people to join Facebook…. Sorry, you just lost any future sales from this little known guitarist…. Wake up People, the almighty dollar DOES NOT have to be the bottom line! Where’s my Strat?…..

As you know I am one of the Facebook sheep. I find it a useful tool to keep in touch with family and friends, and causes/artists I am into. That being said, I think it’s incredibly crappy for Epiphone to limit their giveaways to only one electronic medium. That’s why Fender corp. is superior. I say Screw Epiphone.

Anon, I don’t know if you’re damning Facebook, or the fact you’ve been having problems logging in on the Blog….. It looks like to me that the Log-in problem has been taken care of…… The comment you made on this Post shows it was made by anon and the list of recent comments on the righthand side of the home page says, “anon on Screw Facebook….” Your personal info IS NOT displayed anywhere on the Blog for any Bozo’s to see…. Just DON’T sign out and you should be good to go without logging in every time… If you continue to have problems, I WILL give you a personal call and we will correct your problem one baby step at time (Ha!)….
