Wow, that was a beat-down of world proportions. I’ve never liked the Seahawks (I do love the Mariners though, from my time up there), but happy sports moments have been few and far between for Seattle, so I’m glad they won. Before this, it was a long-ago Sonics championship (1979), getting to the 2005 Super Bowl, and “The Double” (my personal favorite).
I heard this morning that Kansas City led the country in Super Bowl TV ratings, with the prevailing theory being that the average KC fan wanted to see arch-nemesis Denver get beaten.

That’s pretty funny that Kansas City had the biggest TV viewing audience of the Super Bowl….. I have to admit Football Fans are the most Fanatical and Vengeful fans of any sport I know…..

to huskeysooner,
The Mariners? You must have lived up here when Arod was a boy and the Mariners won games……poor old Mariners.
It was “poor old Seagulls” until recently. I’m not a big football fan, but got interested with this team of “misfits”. Now that they are the real deal think I’ll go fishing on Sundays.
Some say it was an awful game……….snicker.

I definitely enjoyed myself….. Even won a couple of bets – one for Ten Bucks and one for One Buck….. I took Seattle and gave them 8 points and they thought I was crazy: That there was no way Seattle was even going to win, not alone beat Denver by 8!….. HA! – I had the last laugh….. I actually predicted Denver’s total points for the games – Ha!, again…..

Yeah, I was up there from 1993 through end of 1998. Pre-roids AROD, Griffey, Buhner, Randy Johnson, Jamie Moyer, Dan Wilson. I’m Edgar Martinez fanboy #1. They had some other good years (2001 comes to mind), but they’ve pretty much fallen of the face of the earth since then.
The Sonics also were good when I was up there.

Buhner still lives up here. He does car adds on TV. I think Martinez and maybe Griffey are still here. Arod may be on his way to hell.

I’m glad I didn’t see this post until March 29, because now I’ve had sufficient time to grieve and move on. I’m probably the only Bronco fan on the blog, so congratulations OKC, I mean Seattle Seahawks. Don’t rest on your laurels Pete, Peyton and the boys will have a huge chip on their shoulders next season.

Mr. Gray,
Everyone will have it in for the Seagulls.
Did the stars aline just right? Was it a one time thing? Seattle was hungry after last year. A lot of players are gone now. Back to the old Seagulls????
