New Music Report Neil Young “A Letter Home”
I was turned onto Neil Young’s new Album “A Letter Home” As you all know in my opinion Neil has never made a bad album, And with this one he still has not. This is a very Ecclectic album Typical NY. Just when you think you know whats next from him. he does something like this. If you enjoy ’70s Country and Folk/Pop You will like this one. The sound, Sounding like a old reel to reel vocal letter from the battlefield is great. Good Job Shakey. ***** stars.

That’s one to either love or hate. Being a huge Neil Young fan, I love it. I think I own almost everything he has released. Solo, CSNY, Buffalo Springfield, love it all. Truly, one of the most prolific, original, eccentric & talented musicians (IMHO) of the rock era.

I couldn’t agree more. I am looking forward to getting my copy of CSNY 1974. Together or apart or in whatever configuration they might be Love CSN&Y.

I never really cared for Neil’s voice, it’s a bit high and thin, but still like a lot of his songs. Perhaps MR or J can refresh my memory, but Jek, MR, Robo, me, and I *think* JJ or Izard saw CSN (and maybe Y?) at the Zoo Ampitheater somewhere around 1990. Mostly all I remember is most of us ran out of smokes and mooched off Robo’s awful menthols. (He had 2 packs, and we kinda bitched about it, but were happy to bum sticks sparingly.)
