Dropping like flies…
Percy Sledge left us Tuesday, at 74 due to liver cancer. Left behind a dozen kids, so he must’ve had a busy life.
At this point I think we just need a general obit post, it’s getting hard to keep up.
(At last look, Abe Vigoda’s still hanging in there….)

For some reason I thought Abe Vigoda passed away long ago. It’s good to hear he’s still around (94!).

Yeah, he’s one of those guys that looked 90 when he was 50. Fame’s a fickle thing, there’s a lot of entertainers that fall from the public eye until they pass away, and then I feel guilty that “I thought he died like 12 years ago!”. (Frank Gorshin caught me off-guard like that.)
Also forgot to mention James Best passing, mostly remembered as Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane but a talented actor with many other credits.
Life’s funny, the middle part of it seems to speed on by, all the icons I took for granted as always being there start to drop off, and all the new actors/musicians seem lightweight in comparison. I get used to seeing entertainment news about people I know nothing about and am unimpressed by, but everyone apparently gushes over. The world rolls on, I guess.

I felt the same way when Trigger passed. They stuffed him. Can’t say I missed “Frances The Talking Mule” though.
Glad to hear Abe is still around. I remember him from “Barney Miller” then lost track after he was offed in the “God Father”.

He also played on a few MacGyver episodes….
