E-QUIZ 2: Holy Water Sprinkler
I have decided to end the EDUCATIONAL QUIZ because after much research I cant come up with anything that Google cant find making it far too easy for any serious quiz. ( I did find one that Google didn’t know. Google did come up with something but it was the wrong answer. It’s kind of gross. Try it if you want……What is a “Holy Water Sprinkler”? I may or may not send a
prize)
I do plan to periodically post educational bits to stimulate. Who knows , maybe I will find something Google doesn’t know and have another quiz.
This Educational Bit: “Daylight”, in drinking bumpers, means that the wine-glass is not full to the brim; between the wine and the rim of the wine-glass light may be seen. Toastmasters used to cry out, “Gentlemen, no daylights nor heeltaps” –the heeltap being a little wine left at the bottom of the glass. The glass must be filled
to the brim, and every drop of it must be drunk.
Randalf, the contestant who correctly answered the quiz, the only contestant, an appropriate prize is in the mail.

What if we all swear on an original copy of “The Bill of Rights” that we won’t Google or use computer reference sources for the answers?….. We’re a trustworthy lot – All-in-all…. (Maybe?) At least you’re going to keep the “Educational Bits” coming – That’s Cool…. I know I could use some more education and I like yours: it’s sort of the “cream on the top”, the “head on the beer”, the “inside info” that goes beyond the general knowledge of a subject….. Now, for my quiz : What’s wrong with the first sentence of this comment?…..

The Bill of rights is not a stand alone document, but the 1st articles of the Constitution, so therefore there cannot be an original copy of the “Bill of rights” by itself.

No, JJ, it’s much simpler than that…. You even used it in your sentence without realizing it!……

Youre Evil.
And I’m always the one trying to simplfy everything.

To answer the quiz: A holy water sprinkler is that thing that a Catholic priest uses to splinkle Holy water on the Flock during communion and funerals. looks kinda like a large silver salt shaker.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT! (the sound of a buzzer) SORRY! Incorrect! Flat out wrong. It is not a holy water sprinkler, although it does allude to it. Hence the name “Holy Water Sprinkler”. You trying to slide one by for a prize? I believe the object you are referring to is called an “aspergillum’. I had to look it up. Don’t keep one around the house.
Should I give you a clue or let you work on it awhile?
MR, How do think we could keep this bunch honest? Who will watch the watchers?

OK JJ, Here’s a clue for you….It’s an object of aggression….gross…..not something I would have picked for the quiz but the only thing I could find Google didn’t have an answer for….. also old and obscure..
April 18th, 2006 at 11:36 am
What is a “Holy Water Sprinkler”?……Answer: a military club set with spikes. So called facetiously because it makes the blood to flow as water sprinkled by an aspergillum. Told you it was gross.

Where do find these things, Anon?…. C-o-o-l stuff….. I guess the modern version of a “Holy Water Sprinkler” would be a wood baseball bat with a bunch of 16 penny common nails driven though the big end…. Ouch and double ouch!…… Keep ’em comin’….

Well, anon, I expected a booby-prize, but I didn’t expect it to be so literal. Anyway, I almost proudly accept the prize. Thanks.
That’s why I like the braille version of Playboy–they have the best nipples.

Randalf, They are book ends. Copies sculptured after ancient Greek Goddess, a perfect educational prize. Enjoy.
