Here’s another good read. The author gives us a very good insight into the “Base that Doesn’t Exist.”
Many equate Area 51 with Aliens, that Is just a SMALL part of the Big Picture out in the Nevada Desert.
The Base was started as “The Nevada Test Site” for somewhere that we could test our growing Nuclear Arsenal. It Morphed into a place to test the latest Spy equipment and hide what we didn’t want the other side to see in plain site.
Through Interviews with those who had a “Need To Know” and Declassified official documents Miss Jacobsen does a good job telling the story of some of out deepest secrets and why some of them failed, Some with Catastrophic consequences. Even taking us to the brink of War.
So pick this one up and see that like I stated in the previous report, if the People on the sharp end of the stick would have been allowed to do their jobs and the politicians in Washington would have let them do their jobs we might have a different world today.

Tagged as “This is the Book the CIA doesn’t want you to read.” Well I just finished this very fascinating book. I have always said ” If we actually knew what our government was really up to it would scare us to death”
This is one of those books but, It actually didn’t scare me my thought was “Our intelligence community was/is a bad Keystone Cops movie starring The 3 Stooges”
The Intelligence apparatus in this country was started under the best intentions by men who wanted to know what our enemies were up to but, it morphed into just another governmental bureaucratic political black hole that is handicapped by it’s own failings and men who used knowledge for power at home and abroad.
When it started out it’s charter was simple “Find out what the enemy is up to and use that information to help shape the American policy abroad, and help the Armed forces decide on a course of action in any given situation.
It became a Communist witch hunt, a domestic spy/ secret police agency, and a political football for weak men to garner favor of their respective Presidents.
Allan Dulles used it in the 50’s and 60’s to convince Eisenhower that the Communists were a bigger threat to national security than they were. Most people don’t know that communism was not the threat that it was portrayed to be, The majority of Americans would not have anything to do with the CPUSA and therefore it was not the threat that it was propagandized to be. Any truly thinking person back then saw it for what it was An idealistic ranting of a few who wanted all the power to flow inward, not to the people, and rejected it. We actually had no idea what the Kremlin was up to. Our best Intelligence prize in the 50’s, The Khrushchev speech denouncing Stalin was obtained by the Israeli Mossad and passed to the CIA for a price.
In the mid to late 60’s President Johnson used the CIA to shore up a lie that strengthened his plans for Vietnam. in the 70’s Nixon used the CIA for his own political agenda and turned it into A domestic Spy/Police Clearly against the Charter of the CIA. Turning it against the Anti war Movement. And in the 70’s/80’s we completely lost track of the big picture by propping up dictators that were sympathetic to the current administrations values we put in place many regimes that now are trying to destroy us because at the time we liked what they said and they took our money. Needless to say to arm themselves against us. But I urge you to pick this one up and read it, maybe it will help you understand why we are in the shape we are in today. Too many weak minded politically motivated men were trying to garner favor from too many political operators and set up their legacy instead of finding out what was actually going on.

Lets take on the proposed New Gun Laws, particularly the “Assault Weapons Ban” and “High Capacity Magazines“. Now I am all for keeping weapons out of the hands of criminals but, that would not have stopped any of the recent shootings our country has experienced.
These incidents were perpetrated by Mentally Deranged individuals who thought because of their actions they would become infamous, or they thought their actions would get their political or social point across.
None of the recent shooters were “Criminals“.
As for the bans proposed by the lawmakers they would not have stopped any of those shootings. If the shooters had not had “Assault Weapons” they would have used another type of weapon that would have been just as deadly. One can kill just as many people with a Revolver as you can with a Rifle. you just have to reload more. Now the persons who are proposing the bans say ” If they would have to have reloaded less people would have died” Now maybe that’s true but, people would have died never the less.
Students would have died at Columbine, and Newtown. Congresswoman Giffords probably would have still been wounded, Virginia Tech students would have been shot, and people would have been killed in Aurora.
Yes I own weapons, I do not belong to the NRA. I feel it has become a comical farce just trying to exude political power. How about we look at some mental health proposals in this country, getting people who need help the help they need. Let’s look at Extensive Background checks that screen for real problems not turning someone down for traffic tickets or being a Veteran. Remember all the shooters were found to have some type of mental or social disorder. How about Parents watching what their children are up to, what games they are playing, who they are talking to and what’s going on in their lives. Most of their parents said “we knew that he was having some problems but did not realize that he was on the edge of snapping” Well maybe if you would have paid better attention to what they were up to you would have seen signs that they had an issue that could have became a violent crime.
So lets look inward and quit trying to take away the right to possess things that some people don’t think we should have, and quit using tragedies to further their political agendas. (Michael Moore) And speaking of him SHUT UP!!! We don”t need to see the photos of slaughtered children. Isn’t your 15 minutes up yet?

I saw an interesting editorial on the news the other day….  It was about how the U.S. was way behind the rest of the World in Weather Forecasting…..  It said that during the ’80’s and ’90’s, the U.S. failed to upgrade/update the necessary hardware/software needed to predict accurate long range predictions, in other words, we were too cheap to spend the money, while European and other nations were investing 10 times what the U.S. was in this important aspect of our lives….  As an example, they stated that the European computer models accurately  predicted that Hurricane Sandy would make a left turn and strike the Northeastern U.S. while all the U.S. computer models predicted it would stay in the Atlantic and turn slowly to the right moving further out into the ocean…..  This is really, really sad, as we continue our decline in about everything from Education, Space Exploration, Manufacturing, Jobs – Ah-h-h-h!!!….  You name it and we’re closing in on last place!…..  We used to “The Leader” of the World in all those things, and now we are fast becoming the “Bozos” of the known World….  What happened?….  You should know, unless you’re just one of the millions of dumb “Bozos” standing in line to do whatever the corrupt I, Me, Mine Politicians, whom YOU ELECTED, tell you what Cliff to jump off of!….  Is that “Bozos” or “Lemmings”?…..

….Well, almost, u-u-uh, sometimes, u-u-uh, maybe?…..  Anyway, I’ve been watching some of my extensive DVD collection, as in “Red Dwarf”, the BBC’s Si-Fi comedy series from the early ’90’s…..  In one episode, Rimmer is trying to express how useless something is with the comment/joke: “That’s about as useless as a condom machine in the Vatican”, which at the time, and until really recently would have explained that what he was talking about was, without a doubt, explicitly “Useless”…..  But, NOW, with all the revelations of/about the Catholic Church, that Condom Machine might not be/have been as useless as the normal Layman may have thought it was/is…..  It’s amazing how a few hidden and/or new facts can drastically change the meaning of something that should be as plain as the nose on your face (My face – Somebody’s Face!)…..  That’s Life!!!….. 

We’re under a Blizzard Warning from now until 8 am Tuesday (tomorrow) Morning, BUT, I’m not worried about the Blizzard, and, I’m not sitting and waiting for the snow and 35 to 50 mph winds that accompany a Blizzard – I’m just sitting and waiting for the ELECTRICITY to go off just when I desperately need it ON!…..  Anybody out there who has followed the MR Community Blog for any amount of time is well aware of my feelings concerning our unreliable, incompetent, non-caring, and totally greedy Power Companies….  Most of us still receive electricity in our homes via 19th Century technology – Utility Poles!!!!….  In Oklahoma the grids are in such a sad state that even the slightest wind causes power outages, and, the wind blows across the plains daily….  I guess if I were in their shoes, I wouldn’t care about improving anything either…..  I mean, all they have to do is ask the government for a rate increase to patch up any storm damage to the antiquated utility pole system and it’s immediately granted…..  How they have managed to convince the Government and the people that this is the ONLY WAY to deliver electricity is beyond me….  It’s nothing short of Criminal!….  There is no way to calculate the number of deaths and injuries that can be directly traced to the lack of electricity at crucial times…..  In my case, I plan to stay in for the next day or so, until the weather clears up, UNLESS,  my electricity goes belly-up, which is most likely and a constant worry anytime there is the least amount of bad weather….  Then, I have no HEAT, no LIGHTS, no way to COOK – NOTHING!!!…  I will be FORCED to either stay inside and try not to freeze until the electricity is back on, or attempt to travel to some other inhabitable environment, which means getting out in a Blizzard that you are being told to stay out of for safety reasons…..  It’s beyond crazy!….  WAKE-UP PEOPLE and start complaining because it is already too late!…..  U–U-U-G-H-H!!!!!

I recently bought the “Ultimate” edition of “The Guide” for my Nook….  I am now reading it again on my Nook which is not unlike the book,“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, which is a book that Ford Prefect carries around with him in the storyline of the book, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”…..  Not confusing if you are a fan of Douglas Adams and “The Guide”…..  Douglas Adams was definitely ahead of his time as “The Guide” is described as an “Electronic Book”, small enough for a hitchhiker to carry around in his pocket, containing millions of pages of information, all accessible by pushing the right buttons…..  It’s amazing when you take into consideration that “The Guide” was published in 1979, thirty some odd years before the Nook came into existence…..  The only thing that Douglas Adams missed in his electronic “Guide” was touch screen technology!…..  I am fairly sure that at the rate I am going, I will have millions of pages of information on my Nook…..  I already have thousands on it and it has not used up it’s built-in memory as of yet – And, I have a 32 Gig SD card installed!…  Yep, I predict I’ll have millions of pages on it before I’m done…..  I am seriously considering adding the two comforting words that appear on front cover of “The Guide” – DON’T PANIC – B&N should consider making such a book cover for the Nook….  It would be a outrageously successfully accepted venture…..  I would buy one!…..  Well, “So Long and Thanks for All the Fish”……

I know everyone has seen these signs:

But how many know what they mean, or what you as a driver your supposed to do?
Upon entering a freeway we all encounter these signs, On the right is a Merge sign, this lets the driver know that they will be merging into traffic that is already in the travel lane of the freeway, and that there is Not a separate lane for them to continue driving in after entering the freeway.
Now on the left is the complicated one, Yield. When I was 15 years old and studying for my driving test this sign was defined in the drivers manual as: This sign means that you must yield the right of way to motorists that are in the lane of travel that you wish to enter, Meaning that the vehicle that is already in the travel lane has the right of way and you must wait for that vehicle to clear the way before you can proceed.
Hang on here’s where it gets tricky.
When these signs are used together as in the case of most every freeway on ramp in the USA it is defined as this. Upon entering the freeway on ramp or as it is called in most cities the Acceleration Lane, you must look out of your left window and your side view mirror and be aware of the traffic on the freeway, you must judge if there is enough room to enter the freeway while bringing your vehicle up to the highway speed, or the speed of traffic upon the freeway. If you cannot enter the travel lane at the travel speed, or there is not sufficient room for your vehicle to enter you must slow and wait until you can safely enter the freeway. Here’s the part most people cannot seem to comprehend. This does not mean that you are supposed to floorboard your car up the on ramp and force your way in, making the vehicle already in the lane stop to let you in, It does not mean that you are supposed to keep driving even on the shoulder of the road until the vehicle in the lane slows to let you in. and here’s the tricky one. The vehicle that is in the travel lane Is NOT required to “Move Over” and let you on the freeway. This is a courtesy and done at the drivers own discretion not as a point of law. So to summarize: When you are getting on the Interstate you need to put down your phone, look to your side and if there is a Sufficient space come on out, push that thing under your right foot (It’s called an accelerator every car has one) and go no your way. and if you can’t don’t force your way in or pace the vehicle that is beside you and then cuss and flip off the driver because they would not move over (probably because there was a vehicle beside them) and let you out so then you can then speed up. In our next lesson we will cover what to do at one of those pesky Stop Signs, and the most confusing of all Stop Light. Happy Motoring.
P.S. Before you are thinking I’m just Picking on the Cars, This lesson is targeted toward the other Truck Drivers as well, In some cases More so. because this has happened to me with more frequency by other Trucks.

I have just been informed of the passing Dusten McKee. You have heard the old saying “He was Like a Son to me” ?  Well, it was very true with Dusten. He went to school with Jek, and, when they would “Ditch” school I was Dusten’s Father on the phone. I have many happy memories of him in those years. We played music together (He Played Bass). We made these tapes back then pretending to be a radio station.(You remember me talking about the “DOGG TAPES” For their English Lit Book report we made a film of Beowulf (this was long before the blockbuster) I played Grendel’s Mother. (think Monty Python) and Dusten plays Beowulf. The “outtakes” are better than the Film. In the scene where he kills me, I am doing this old overacting dying and he screams “DIE ALL READY!. In another school film for science class, Jek Plays Johnny Seltzer: Private Neutralizer. His Side Kick is Dusten as “Crime Bustin’ Rustin’ Dusten”. For their Senior Prom I chauffeured Jek and Dusten and their dates around all night dressed as Jake Blues -  in our Bluesmobile. After Dusten graduated, he joined the Army and I kinda lost track of him then.  After he got out, he came up with the idea to start a Paintball field on the land that MRambler owned. They all started Dodge City Paintball. About 5 or 6 years ago I heard that Dusten had become a Cop In Nicoma Park. I went along with him on a “ride along” one night. He told me that he was trying to get on in Del City. He became a Officer in Del City, OK soon after that. The last time that I saw him was at the funeral of Robo’s Wife Deb. He looked good and happy. said he was having a great time on the force. I told him to always be careful: I know that cops put it on the line every day, and I didn’t want to read his Line of duty Obit. My heart is sad right now, and I still can’t wrap my mind around what has happened. I was told that he took his own life on New Years Day. This is so heartbreaking for me. A sad and tearful farewell to the kid I called my “Son”.

Happy New Year!…..  This is the first Post of 2013…..  Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve…..  I’m sure some of you are not up yet and/or nursing a small/medium/large hangover (Ha!)…..  I had a nice quiet one, especially after the two Furbots left…..  They haven’t turned up as of yet and, hopefully, they’ll be occupied somewhere else for a few days so I can recover from their antics over the Holidays…..  Anyway, it’s 2013, and enjoy the New Year!!!!….

2012 is about to go bust……  PD Bob and Oscar, although still on Lock-Down, are planning a night on the town, with or without my permission….  I told them I would release them around 6 pm, IF and ONLY IF, they didn’t mess with any of the MR Community’s parties or plans…..  If you see them and they are acting up, Report them to MR Headquarters and we’ll probably not be able to do anything about it!…..  Sorry, those two are a handful and then some……  Anyway, everybody have a Happy New Year and see you in 2013……

Mmm-hmmmm….  That’s right, It’s time to start writing down those “New Year Resolutions”……  I’ve already made my list and, unfortunately, I shared the info with Jek…..  I was a bit overambitious now that I look at my list, but, alas, Jek will give me an earful if I don’t at least fulfill the Resolutions for a couple of months or so (I might get away with tapering off on them by then)….  So-o-o, be careful as to what you’re going to commit to and, also, watch out who you show it to…..  Happy New Year!….

Yep!…  PD Bob’s back and with his new sidekick, Oscar the Cat….  After months of hearing rumors and short messages from the elusive Furbot, they show up late Christmas Eve at MR Headquarters – Tired, Cold, Hungry, and Dirty (as in SMELLY dirty!)…..  Jabbering at over a 100 miles per hour about all the places they had been, etc., I finally got a word in and told them, “It’s Late, I’m going to bed, clean up, and I’ll talk to you two Christmas morning”…..  I locked my bedroom door behind me…..  I went to sleep thinking about the great Christmas feast I was going to fix myself  the next day….   Boy, did that go wrong!….  Upon opening my door Christmas morning, I was knocked backwards – The place smelled like an NFL locker room right after a 1000 yard offensive game….  Offensive is the right word, there were tears in my eyes…..  As soon as my vision cleared, I had to clear a path through all the dirty clothes and junk that was everywhere!….  How could two small Furbots carry so much stuff?…..  Then I noticed that the refrigerator door was wide open – and it was EMPTY!….  The cabinets were the same!  Something was boiling over on the stove and there were empty cans and trash everywhere!….  My Christmas dinner was in the bellies of the two snoring Furbots who were draped over the couch and on the floor….  All my Christmas presents had been opened also….  I guess they thought it was New Year’s Eve because they had themselves a Hell of a party!…..  To finish this off, I went out to eat and placed PD Bob and Oscar on Lockdown and Double Secret Probation…..  They’re staying on Lockdown until the place is back in order and then I’m seriously considering putting them up for adoption…..  Anybody want a couple of cute, fuzzy, lovable Furbots?…. No questions asked!….
