Hopefully everybody is having a Merry Christmas….. Â Mine has not been the best so far, but, I do still have the electric on, and I have presents to open (see comments on previous “Christmas Eve” post for details)….. Â Right now we are getting Freezing Rain/Ice – I can’t even step out the door without the risk of immediately slipping on the black ice and busting my butt!….. Â It was supposed to be a snow event only – Thanks again to our great weather forecasters!….. Â They still haven’t learned that you can’t forecast the weather in Oklahoma…. Â Anyway – MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!……
Wishing everyone a Merry, Merry Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!…..  I really don’t know what we will get here since the weather forecast is for a major Winter Storm starting later tonight and raging all through Christmas Day……  Mother Nature apparently doesn’t seem to like us much – 3 days of high temps in the mid-20’s, Christmas night low of 7 degrees, 8-10 inches of snow – Yuch!….  I’m going to blame it on all those Bozo’s that wished for a White Christmas!…..  I’m sorry, I don’t mind a little snow, but, being trapped inside for 2-3 days is not my idea of a great time…..  If you enjoy being Snowbound, come on over to my house…..  I’ve got plenty of food, coffee, and DVD’s…..  ‘Tis the season to go Stir Crazy…..  Enjoy it – if you can (I guess I will tolerate it as best I can)……
Friday the 21 of December I road with Mrambler and then my parents to Arkansas for a Christmas vacation and to see my parents new house. Here it is late Saturday and I have not seen my parents house. I have seen a lot of room 444 in saint Marys hospital. I have an inflection and am receiving a lot of attibiotics. I am getting a MRI on Monday and will know more then.

Â Although I don’t think things will change much with the election of either of the choices we have, EVERYONE should get out and vote tomorrow if you haven’t already…. Â There are always State Questions, Judges to be retained, and local officials to be voted on, and, maybe, just maybe, these may have some impact on the bigger picture….. Â IT’S YOUR RIGHT AND OBLIGATION AS AN AMERI”CAN” to VOTE – So-o-o-o, if you’re an MR Community Member – DO YOUR DUTY!….. Â I might just have to run for President myself next time around to straighten this whole mess out (That is if there is still a U. S. of A. worth saving in 4 years)…… Â MR FOR PREZ!
I had to replace the light fixture on our ceiling fan last night. So we go to the local Big Home improvement store (Name Withheld) first after getting insulted by the condescending little guy with the apron. He proceeds to tell me that “I cannot buy a new fixture with a normal light bulb”. I just wanted a simple one light fixture, OH NO we can’t be having that. Now I know that one cannot find a normal old fashioned light bulb anymore. They have gone by the way of the cassette player and the carburetor. But now I am finding that they (You Know Who They Are) are changing the bulbs over to the little base type Called Candelabra. What was wrong with the original light bulb base the one that has been around since Tommy invented the damn thing! How does changing the size of the base improve the planet? which I thought was the reason for the new bulbs in the first place. I know I’m old and stuck in my ways but, why change just to change? I know change is inevitable but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!!!
…… According to the Rock stars who wrote them….. Â A number of “My Generation” musicians are bringing out their autobiographies and/or memoirs…. Â Dylan’s been out for a while, but, Keith Richards, Pete Townsend, Neil Young, and Rod Stewart have jumped on the band wagon….. Â I’ve already read Keith’s “Life” and most of Neil’s, “Waging Heavy Peace”….. Â I’ve bought Pete’s book (Who I Am), but haven’t read it yet – It just came out on October 8th, and Rod’s is due out on the 23rd of October….. Â Both Keith’s and Neil’s are very interesting reads….. Â Lots of inside stuff and really cool reading, of course, you have to be aware that this is from THEIR viewpoint and memories….. Â I was amazed of the intricate detail that Keith remembers, even his early childhood and names of schoolmates and such from his long distant past….. Â I tried reliving my childhood in my mind and I had lots of trouble remembering specific people, their names, and any sort of accurate timeline for way back then….. Â Maybe all the drugs he did kept his memory alive and well – Maybe…. Â He’s now on the wagon (he says) 100% – Neil Young claims the same, but states that he is now having trouble writing new material!….. Â I highly recommend any and all of the above books if you’re into music….. Â Oh, Yeah, another book worth mentioning, although it came out in 1999, is Bill Wyman’s, “Rolling with The Stones”….. Â It’s a coffee table size book with tons and tons of pictures and memorabilia….. Â I think it’s the most accurate record of the Stones during, what I consider, their peak years, and Bill was well known as the historian for the Stones…. Â I checked it out at my local library….. Â Take a break and do some reading – You might learn something new!……
…Of those weird dates….. Â Today is 10/11/12….. Â OK, Big Deal – e-e-eh?….. Â Apparently there are those out there who think so….. Â According to the news, we have couples getting married because of the date today (I guess they think it will be easier to remember anniversaries), and women inducing birth so their kid will be born with the birth date of 10/11/12….. Â Maybe some of our worldly problems would go away if those people would get REAL lives!…..
