Here’s wishing a happy birthday to John Winston (Ono) Lennon. Born in the middle of a air raid 9 Oct. 1940
Ironic that a man who came into the world amid such violence, left us in a violent way. To borrow a line from Paul. ” and if I said I really knew well, what would your answer be, If you were here today….Here Today” I think today should become a world holiday.
Well today finds me in N. Las Vegas, NV. Got 6 stops tomorrow in the area. Then off to…..? Not.much going on here, beautiful weather, that’s about it.
Hi Kids. Greetings from Ontario, CA. It was hot here today 88 Iknow that’s not bad but for here…… Took my day off today. Thanks to a Load planner that is incapable of doing his job correctly. This load originated in Laredo, TX with a second P/U in Redlands, CA then delivers in Perris, CA. 1st he gave me the wrong shipping info for Laredo, Then didn’t feel it necessary to tell me or my Mgr. That the P/U today was delayed. So since the truck stop business is afraid that they will miss out on a cent, today has cost me, $4.25 Laundry, $4.85 Wifi, $25.00 Meals, $12.00 Shower, and $20.00 Parking. But enough of my gripes. The topic out here today is that the city of LA is cutting down 280 trees to move the Shuttle Endavor from LAX to the Science Museum. Some of which needed to be removed because of damage. And after, They are going to plant 700 in their place. You should hear the gripe session at the council meeting. Also I urge all of you to go to your local Truck Stop Restaraunt and just sit and listen for an hour. As someone told me a long time ago “The first liar ain’t got a chance” It’s like being surrounded by MR’s cousins (yeah I mean tony and mike) It’s cheap entertainment. Till next time.
If we had a newsletter, that would be the headlines….. Â I guess I’ll have to Post something and stir things up again (hopefully)….. Â Question: Â I know the Presidential election is coming up fast – should we discuss politics or leave them alone?….. Â Let’s hear your opinions, Inmates….. Â I’m sure our opinions are varied and some even far out in the Outfield (could be Left or Right)….. Â I know mine are, but, if nothing else, it should get the Blog to humming again…..
On the other hand, I’ve been doing a lot of research on Music….. Â I have a lot of cool stuff (I think, anyway) to pass on to the Community if you Inmates are interested…… Â Of course, these could be Posted after the election…..
Give me some input – At your convenience – Shall it be Politics, Music, or Something Completely Different?….. Â It’s good to be back……
Yes kids your roving reporter is back, I final;y came into the 21st Century and got me a Tablet. So now I can post/comment more. (When I can get a WiFi signal) So anyhoo, Here I sit in Beautiful downtown Yuma, AZ and it’s hot!!!! 98 at 1249am. Gotta love it. Check in somewhere down the road. Later

It’s Another….. Â We finally got all the big fires out in Oklahoma…. Â We sent them to the West, including Washington state…. Â Sorry ‘Bout that!….. Â I would say you Northwesters’ should move to Oklahoma where all the ground is already burnt, but, we have a much deadlier enemy now – West Nile Virus.…. Â The worst outbreak in history!….. Â It started in Texas and has moved into Oklahoma with a vengeance!…… Â They are actually spraying the entire city of Dallas where they have had over 200 cases reported with 10+ deaths….. Â Well, it’s here now!….. Â In Oklahoma county alone there has been 62 cases reported with 2 deaths so far….. Â They say you can have it and not even know it, so, the number of cases could be far greater….. Â Unfortunately, it’s basically age dependent on the seriousness scale….. Â The young and old are the one’s most at risk, and, yes, I fall in one of those groups!…. Â You guess (Ha!)….. Â I really doubt that OKC will follow Dallas’s lead by spraying, they don’t like to spend money that don’t go into some relative’s pocket, so, I’m off to the store to buy bug spray and hiding out indoors for the rest of the Summer…. Â Great life!….
Not only do we have to deal with Tornadoes, Wind Storms, Hail Storms, Ice Storms, and Blizzards, in the past two years we have added Fire Storms!…..  We haven’t been under 100 degrees since July 17th…..  This past week we had two days at 111, Two days at 112, and set the all time hottest day with a tie with the 1936 high record of 113 and the hottest low of 84 degrees!…..  We had been fighting high humidity percentages until last week…..  All of a sudden the humidity dropped off to below Desert levels – 12 percent!…..  Since we haven’t had any rain to speak of over the past three months, it was a disaster  waiting to happen…..  On Friday it did!….  With winds in the 20-25 mph range, we had an outbreak of Wild Fires all over the state….  The worst ones located uncomfortably near MR HQ…..  Thousands of acres burned, Hundreds of structure lost…..  Some of those fires are still burning 3 days later, along with new ones popping up all over…..  All the brush and trees are so dry that if you just look at them and think fire, they burst into flames (just about anyway)……  Oklahoma is NOT just open prairie like most people think, we have lots of large oak, cedar, and blackjack trees….  The Cedar trees actually EXPLODE when they catch fire (No Kidding!)…..  With the wind and the 150 foot high flames, the fires were literally jumping over firefighters and fire breaks….  They have had very serious problems containing the fires……  It’s a MESS…..  So, Oklahoma is literally BURNING – Heat and Fire wise…..  Send water – Hell, the Pacific Ocean if possible…..
Looks like the only way to survive in Oklahoma is to become a Hobbit and live underground!….. Â I’m going to Home Depot and buy some shovels and start digging….. Â Wish us LUCK, We NEED it!…..
In 2006 Bain buying lasix on line Capital acquired Guitar
Center.
I can’t believe that the MR Coroner missed the passing of Deep Purple member Jon Lord. While there are lots of other talented keyboardists, Lord was unique in the realm of hard rock. His overdriven Hammond was the perfect counterpoint to Richie Blackmore, both in sound and composition.
Go blast Machine Head in honor.
….Well, I must say this Saturday the 14th has been about as boring, so far, as F-13th was….. Â Ho-Hum….. Â What to do?….. Â I guess I could send PD Bob out to wake up the MR Community….. Â Na-h-h-h, he’s still recovering from F-13th…… Â Seems it’s the time of year for Skunks to be rather active…. Â I’ve had to quarantine him to one of the outbuildings…… Â Ph-e-w-w-w-w…..
I was sitting at a long stoplight yesterday, minding my own business, patiently waiting for it to turn green even though there was no on-coming traffic. A carload of bearded, young, loud Muslims, shouting anti-American slogans, with a half-burned American Flag duct-taped on the trunk of their car and a “Remember 9-11” slogan spray painted on the side, was stopped next to me. Suddenly they yelled, “Aqbar Allah! Praise Allah!” and took off before the light changed. Out of nowhere an 18-wheeler came speeding through the intersection and ran directly over their car, crushing it completely and killing everyone in it. For several minutes I sat in my car thinking to myself, “Man…that could have been me!” So today, bright and early, I went out and got a job as a truck driver.
I didn’t realize it was Friday the 13th until I turned on the TV to watch the news/weather….. Â Usually F-13th’s have been fairly good to me….. Â I don’t know about this one, just have to wait and see what comes around….. Â Anyone have F-13th stories?…..
Today 12 July may or may not be someones birthday. I think I will celebrate anyway. just in case.
….How many of those millions of people on the East coast that have been without electricity for a week might now agree with my outlook that ALL electric lines should be buried?….. Â Hu-m-m-m, just a thought…… Â I also wonder, although I know the answer, how many politicians in Washington D.C. went without power for more than a day?….. Â My answer would be NONE!….. Â (Of course, I’m not including those politicians who are on some higher-up politician’s S-List – They may be without power for a long, long time)…..
We have become dangerously dependent upon a very unreliable source of energy that effects almost every aspect of our daily lives, and, this source is mis-managed, under-maintained, and about as secure from damage by outside forces (weather, thieves, terrorists, etc.) as an egg trying to hold up a cement block….. Â WAKE UP, AMERICA!!!!….. Â It’s pretty sad when you can look at any picture taken in the 1920-30’s and the constant with a picture taken today is all the utility poles, and, upon closer examination, you find that the poles in 20-30’s pictures are bigger, straighter, stronger, and obviously better maintained….. Â Sad, sad…. Â Post that on your Blog and argue it out…. Â That is, IF YOU HAVE ELECTRICITY!….. Â (YES, batteries do have to be recharged, with, guess what – ELECTRICITY!…..) Â (Step off soapbox, Pound Head against wall because nobody’s listening)…..
