AEROMA  (ayr oh’ ma)  n.  The odor emanating from an exercise room after an aerobics workout…..

ALPONIUM  (al po’ nee um)  n.  (chemical symbol: Ap)  Initial blast of odor upon opening a can of dog food……

MOTSPUR  (mot’ sper)  n.  The pesky fourth wheel on a shopping cart that refuses to cooperate with the other three…….

SPAGMUMPS  (spag’ mumps)  n.  Any of the millions of Styrofoam wads that accompany mail-order items.  (Also, SPAGBULLIONS:  custom fitted Styrofoam blocks that accompany stereo equipment.)…

PHONESIA  (fo nee’ zhuh)  n.  The affliction of dialing a phone number and forgetting whom you were calling just as they answer….  (MR Note:  I’ve done that!)

RICEROACH  (rys’ rohch)  n.  The burnt krispie in every bowl of Rice Krispies….  (MR Note: I’ve seen these before!)

SPORK  (spork)  n.  The combination spoon/fork you find in fast food restaurants…..  (MR Note:  I’m not sure, but, I think our group was already calling them sporks BEFORE this book came out.)

ACCORDIONATED  (ah kor’  de on ay tid)  adj.  Being able to drive and refold a road map at the same time…..

CLUMFERT  (klum’ furt)  n.  The invisible extra step at the top and bottom of a staircase.  Usually materializes when one is carrying a large bag of groceries……

GRIPTION  (grip’ shun)  n.  The sound of sneakers squeaking against the floor during basketball games…….

SCANDROIDS  (skan’ droydz)  n.  The striped price codes which mysteriously began appearing on consumer products a few years ago……  (MR Note: We call them “Bar Codes” now….)  More next Thursday…..

a Thousand words…..  Isn’t that the old saying…..  Well, since no one is Posting but me, I’m going to torture you visually now!…..  Let’s see – We now have SINGLETS on Thursdays, and, now MRambler Art on Mondays……  I’m slowly taking over the whole week…..  Better “THINK” about it and jump in before I take complete control (HA-He-Ha-Ho!!!)……  This is one of series of rough sketches I did for Jek for a motivation type publication….  I don’t think any of them were used…..  Tell me what you “THINK” (Hint) it is:

A  SNIGLET (snig’ lit) is any word that doesn’t appear in the dictionary, but should……  I was going through my tons of stuff and found the book “Sniglets” written by Rich Hall, who used to be on the HBO series, “NOT NECESSARILY THE NEWS”…..  I thought, since no one else is Posting (Hint, Hint, Nudge, Nudge), I would start Posting a few of them each week, just for the fun of it…..  So, enjoy, the 1st installment of “Sniglets”……

MAGNOCARTIC (mag no kar’ tik)  n. Any automobile that, when left unattended, attracts shopping carts…..

HOZONE (ho’ zohn)  n.  the place where one sock in every laundry load disappears to…..

RIGNITION (rig ni’ shun)  n.  The embarrassing action of trying to start one’s car with the engine already running….

FLOPCORN (flop’ Korn)  n.  The unpopped kernels at the bottom of the cooker….

Here’s No. 2 of my 3 Strats that I now own…..  I actually traded my ’79 clear red Strat with all black accessories (except the tuners) for it plus I got a nice little bundle of bills to go with the trade…..  The red/black Strat was a rare one, American made, and played like a dream…..  I’ve been working on setting up this Dave Murray to replace it as my main axe……  Here’s what it looks like:

It was made in 2009 by Fender…..  It’s based on a ’63 body and ’57 neck…..  The pick ups are HOT, except for the ’57 Fender one in the middle…..  If you don’t know who Dave Murray (played with Iron Maiden) is and want to know more about the guitar follow this link:

I’m happy, but, with all the great instruments I’ve got now, I can’t blame any clunker’s on equipment failure (Ha!)……

Yep, He’s out of control again!…..  Him and his new buddy – Rein-ear Ducky (Jek sent him from Seattle), borrowed my Debit Card, hit the local liquor store and decided to make themselves some Harvey Wallbangers…..  (The fire extinguisher is there for safety reasons)…… This is the result:

I’ve been thinking about making a post for some time about why Fender hadn’t made a Hendrix Signature Strat of any kind…..  I thought it might have been problems with Janie Hendrix since she owns all the rights to Jimi’s legacy…..  Boy, was I wrong!…..  This Christmas, which probably turned out to be the best thing that happened to me in 2013, I was given the gift of gifts – a ’97 Jimi Hendrix Tribute guitar – Complete with case and documentation….  Here’s what it looks like:

I, for one, am looking forward to 2013 coming to an end……  Let’s just say that there’s been a lot of weird stuff happen over this past year……  Of course, 2014 might not be any better, but, I’m ready to take the chance, as if I had any choice (Ha!)…….  Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys seeing in the New Year…..  HAPPY NEW YEAR  to all and especially the MR Community!……  Have at it!……
