There, I Posted something. Hi From Round Rock, TX. Hope to be headed home this weekend. Later.
Damn, just seems time is always working against us!….. We’ve lost another great singer/songwriter…..
a Thousand words….. Â Isn’t that the old saying….. Â Well, since no one is Posting but me, I’m going to torture you visually now!….. Â Let’s see – We now have SINGLETS on Thursdays, and, now MRambler Art on Mondays…… Â I’m slowly taking over the whole week….. Â Better “THINK” about it and jump in before I take complete control (HA-He-Ha-Ho!!!)…… Â This is one of series of rough sketches I did for Jek for a motivation type publication…. Â I don’t think any of them were used….. Â Tell me what you “THINK” (Hint) it is:
A Â SNIGLETÂ (snig’ lit) is any word that doesn’t appear in the dictionary, but should…… Â I was going through my tons of stuff and found the book “Sniglets” written by Rich Hall, who used to be on the HBO series, “NOT NECESSARILY THE NEWS”….. Â I thought, since no one else is Posting (Hint, Hint, Nudge, Nudge), I would start Posting a few of them each week, just for the fun of it….. Â So, enjoy, the 1st installment of “Sniglets”……

Here’s No. 2 of my 3 Strats that I now own….. Â I actually traded my ’79 clear red Strat with all black accessories (except the tuners) for it plus I got a nice little bundle of bills to go with the trade….. Â The red/black Strat was a rare one, American made, and played like a dream….. Â I’ve been working on setting up this Dave Murray to replace it as my main axe…… Â Here’s what it looks like:
It was made in 2009 by Fender….. Â It’s based on a ’63 body and ’57 neck….. Â The pick ups are HOT, except for the ’57 Fender one in the middle….. Â If you don’t know who Dave Murray (played with Iron Maiden) is and want to know more about the guitar follow this link:

I’m happy, but, with all the great instruments I’ve got now, I can’t blame any clunker’s on equipment failure (Ha!)……
Yep, He’s out of control again!….. Â Him and his new buddy – Rein-ear Ducky (Jek sent him from Seattle), borrowed my Debit Card, hit the local liquor store and decided to make themselves some Harvey Wallbangers….. Â (The fire extinguisher is there for safety reasons)…… This is the result:
1. Gathering of all the ingredients:
2. Â Rein-ear Ducky loves cherries:
3. Â PD Bob loves Oranges:
4. Â Rein-ear Ducky ice cube skating:
5. Â The finished product:
6. Â PD Bob down for the count:
Poor PD Bob just can’t hold his Liquor – END OF STORY…… (Oh, Yeah, I hid my Debit Card…..
I’ve been thinking about making a post for some time about why Fender hadn’t made a Hendrix Signature Strat of any kind….. Â I thought it might have been problems with Janie Hendrix since she owns all the rights to Jimi’s legacy….. Â Boy, was I wrong!….. Â This Christmas, which probably turned out to be the best thing that happened to me in 2013, I was given the gift of gifts – a ’97 Jimi Hendrix Tribute guitar – Complete with case and documentation…. Â Here’s what it looks like:
You’ll notice that it is actually a left-handed guitar flipped over to give you the feel of that Hendrix had playing a right-hand guitar reversed….. Â You should notice that Fender even reversed the logo on the headstock….. Â It’s definitely one of a kind….. Â Over the years, Fender made seven different attempts at Hendrix strats, but, the ’97 Tribute Strat (the one I have) is the only one that uses a Left-Hand body, all the rest are Right-Hand bodies with Left-Hand necks, so, I guess this makes MY Hendrix Strat the best of the bunch as far as I’m concerned….. Â It’s going to take a while to get used to playing it as the control knobs dig into my forearm while playing…… Â Now, I need to learn a few Hendrix songs just a a tribute to the World’s Greatest Guitar Player…… Â Here’s a link that shows all seven of the versions and a short history of each….. Â Unfortunately, they don’t give any production numbers on the tribute Strat…… Â Doesn’t matter, it’s priceless to me……

Check it out and welcome to 2014…… Â Let’s all try to Post and Comment more….. Â I miss hearing from the Community…… Â As Pink Floyd say, “Is There Anybody Out There?” and The Stones, “Miss You”……
I, for one, am looking forward to 2013 coming to an end…… Â Let’s just say that there’s been a lot of weird stuff happen over this past year…… Â Of course, 2014 might not be any better, but, I’m ready to take the chance, as if I had any choice (Ha!)……. Â Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys seeing in the New Year….. Â HAPPY NEW YEAR Â to all and especially the MR Community!…… Â Have at it!……
Merry Christmas to all of you from all of us here in Oklalooby at MR. Central HQ.
